  1. prob be canny dogs with the right owner, Reds a saluki lurcher(Shearer x Rose) so the sire can't be bred like that, not that it'll matter
  2. That's the one, can't do links
  3. ya dirty necked brush swapping twat. I've had the same brush for 20 years..its had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time..
  4. I've found rabbits exactly like that and another that was kicking and thrashing about that died in my hands, thought VHD but not sure, hopefully someone knows
  5. yes, just my opinion mind? You'll be rereading some of it if you read his magazine articles years ago
  6. a pal recently got me TC's salukis in my life for £17 something, that's more like it...
  7. $250 plus shipping from the author(Midbarsalukis). Still can't bring myself to spend that much on a book lol
  8. thought it was that Sid, yeah his wife/partner is good as well, it was her trialling
  9. their prob bred off collies like the one I scratch about with, she'd throw over thinkers if someone was stupid enough to breed her. I know your mind is made up but salukis have all those good points listed and then some lol. think the owner of Sid was on the tv recently, he seems a character?
  10. believe your interest in this sort of thing started when you got rid of a difficult saluki type, imo that sort simply cant have to much human contact and need to be in the house with you, and out and about with you etc
  11. need a dog with the right attitude for it also, to keep looking and ranging out when there's hardly anything about and its been blowing and pissing down all day, collie cross
  12. would choose a pup sired by a decent sized scratch dog, over one sired by a whipp or grey
  13. both, the stud is double bred Lord of the knight, who's half Laguna?
  14. she sounds similar. comparing the border to my old 1/4 beardie they honestly aren't/weren't that different, both constantly hunting up, both hardy, about the same between the ear's(though the collie lives out), just mine obviously had the zip to catch and he always tried
  15. I ratch about with a pet border at work a bit, she works cover, marks and has caught plenty over the years, I can't mind how old she was but it didn't take her long to think that most things in the open weren't worth trying for, and often I think if only she'd try she might of caught that. Do you get this with yours or don't you find it a prob?
  16. no such fecking thing as a generation bred f1........lol
  17. old lad at the front was Rsch/Nsch Son of a bitch x beardie/grey
  18. one of the litters on the selling sites lately was a farm collie x collie/grey from Typps line. Hancock doesn't seem to have bred 1/4 beardies for years and looking on his site there isn't a stud for 3/8 collies of any type, likely not a market for them
