Well for her next birthday get her one of these, quite impressive and no noise to wake you if she wants to get an early start ? but I still don’t believe anyone can stay warm on pallet wood, it’s alright for kindling but burns faster than you can cut it, a nice log gives an hour or two of heat ??

I used to do a few shifts on the bins when I was living in Bristol and believe it or not but the bin lorry is like a space ship with tech it weighs each bin you pick up and if your wagon doesn’t tally up exactly when you wey in at the end of the day shit hits the fan, no perks and no one is really happy, just another job your working for the man ?

You can run an immersion heater from solar these days so may be more efficient, lots of boats have a solar dump that sends the charge to the immersion once all the battery’s are full, quite simple to set up ??

Tempature and food availability, in my youth when winter was winter and men were men???ok enough of that shit, but when there was proper snow on the ground and digging was still legal, I would go and check setts for activity when there was snow on the ground and the badgers would often remain indoors for two weeks without breaking cover, at this time of year now they are building up fat after winter, so next big signs will be when the leather jackets hatch that’s when they will plough a field overnight like pigs everything in nature follows a sequence there is no point wasting energy looking f
