  7. Not my idea of a well educated working dog. . . It would have to be the best dog I had ever owned and I would never breed from that sort of characteristic. . . Its shame when you have a world beater, but its still got traits you would not want in future breeding. Hes probably a more capable worker than anything you have. He is a line dred desert dog from our own lines he is bred to kill stuff and his line are to put meat on the table daily in COO not weekend sport. If you knew anything about saluki packs you would know what traits the Alpha males and females retain and generations of Alphas c

  15. It’s ok NL I have learned to make allowances for the unfortunate in life, Poor Ken is so f unfortunate he can’t even train a whippet to be hard, from what I’ve heard all the ones he trained ended up weak, shivery, and couldn’t catch a rabbit with mixo that’s why he doesn’t like em
  16. Good job mate! for such hostile ground, I'll try stick to the sheep paddocks...
  17. Hey Guys. I woke up Friday morning packed the car and headed to Dave’s place (a local permission). The plan was to do a couple of easy sets take a good look around the sheep paddock and give the dogs a good run, all before the weather got too hot. This time of year the sun limits your time out in the field, not so much the dogs that can’t hack it but the ferrets don’t like it, they then prefer the cool of the burrow rather than the heat streaming in from the entrance so they lay up. The day went according to plan, I found quite a few new sets better suited for 2 people being on both sides of
  18. Lucky b I have to drag the brown bitch out the hole 1/2 the time ... Nice dogs. but I wouldn't want mine siting whilst waiting. Like em standing so they can get on there toes quickly. Not a dig All good mate, that bitch gets very excited and sticks her head in the holes she is quick to move knows that game
  19. Made some minor mods to mine with some bolts (overkill but what I had at the time) to stop the dog pushing the top grate in, Jok has made some design changes to rectify this. Been using mine 2-4 times a week since I’ve had it, always in the back with the dogs my brown bitch (35 kilos) uses it as a step to look out the window, had mates sitting on it, and it gets knocked round a bit seems to standing up so far. Has a few battle scars already adding to its character its the perfect size middle compartment is handy for, bells, ferret finder etc., and the airflow is fantastic for our warm cond
