  4. More than I can handle atm, but now I'm starting the pup lamping the more ground I can get suited for it the better.
  5. We don’t have a season, our rabbits breed all year round more in the spring (now) in the heat we start at first light and only get about 5 hours before it starts too get to hot, so we do more with the lamp in summer.
  6. Would be good if its good lamping ground (or parts of it) its not to far from me, One way or another I'll find a way to clear a few
  7. Doesn't look too bad, never heard of staying overnight for stiches, always done my own unless muscle is involved, a bit of local and some fishing line and its all good. A.T.B with it hope it all goes well.
  8. Thanks mate. won't know much about it until i have a look see Sunday morning, looking forward to it.
  9. Got a phone call from Gareth the owner of Walsh Quarries Ballarat, asked if I could come out and start to clear the rabbits, apparently the numbers are huge. I will be meeting him Sunday morning and will post pics and information, Sounds like a good opportunity. Excuse my lack of grammar in the title lol
  10. No crocs in N.S.W or Victoria that river is the border just good eating fish fresh water crays and bloody carp, not so many carp these days they killed off most of them.
  11. Bloody grass seeds, took the dogs out yesterday and noticed Zip this morning shaking, and holding her head to one side,. We get loads of them here in the spring, first one I have had in an ear for a few years. I put a bit of ear oil in to soften the tip of it, the vet will be over this evening to get it out not much fun for the pup.

  16. Today I took the dogs for a bit of a look at an old spot, I walk every now and again, ended up with 6 in just over an hour. Pretty happy with young Zip, caught and retrieved a couple out in the open as well.
  17. vnice trev atb with them. I like the white ones better for our heat
  18. She dropped them last nite not sure how many, I leave them alone for the first couple of weeks as long as mum sticks her head out to feed its all good, from the noise thats coming out of there sounds like plenty
  19. Brings back memories, Fantastic photo
  20. How old is she ? Another month or so and the ground will be like a rock in most places, be no digging then I try to keep 1 ferret that stays with them usually as a rule I get rid of them more trouble than they are worth good to have one in winter. I will let you know when the kits drop I only bred 2 jills this year and only one took lucky it was my best jill she is fat as looks like a gut full and is a great mum. I got my young buck vasectomised after I thought they were both in not to worry Im only keeping 2 for myself.
  21. Thanks mate. yea once she finds her feet properly she will be pretty good, She is doing everything asked of her atm ,only going to get better, tough as nails no hint of any injury even on rough hard ground, takes the skin off her knuckles and just keep going, turns on a dime and speed to burn. I do have a finder and put it on a buck that stays with them when the jills lie up, that being said it hasn’t happened since last summer a long wait for me is ½ an hour the Jills will usually kill them and come out occasionally I get an hour or so wait not often
