Can't say I have found any skeletons while digging, I still reckon that when hit with both myxi and rvhd at the same time what ever immunity they might have can't deal with both diseases. The past few summers I have watched good numbers in various burys, only to return in winter with nets and ferrets and catch 1 or 2. These diseases seem to strike when population is at its highest, I guess when the fleas are most prolific? -
Think a lot die underground mate, plus you be lucky to find them laying on ground with all the fox Brock buzzards and round here we got kites

In some cases maybe I know a few that hunt all year round and yeah they wipe them out. I only ferret a bury once and take what it gives, these same burys have always repopulated every year with good numbers but that stopped 5 or so years back when that vhd came about. I have found dead rabbits witch were in perfect condition ( apart from being dead) just lying on the ground in my mind I'm convinced its this disease.

No maybe not but they ain't helping matters. Its a combo of myxi and rhd the two combined they don't stand a chance.

The two combined are lethal haven't been to my main permission this winter, land that would give you 40+ ferreting 6 year ago now you might get half dozen and its not over hunted ?

Noticed that myself particularly during summer months when they dig the young out. Must be attributing to the overall decline in rabbit population.

I blame social media, thick CNT parents and most of all the idiots we got supposedly running this country they the ones that allow this behavior to go on but it seems they bury their heads and carry on with more important things like money. There simply is no deterrent to stop this behavior, yet most the country knows that real punishment is needed to have any effect on the scum that infect our country.

I blame easy pull elastic, to easy for kids to pull and aim. I couldn't use my oldmans catty had thick black square elastic that I couldn't pull back.

Phil Drabble of pedigree unknown. Good read. Darcy's books I have a few signed ones including of dogs and deer. Poachers companion by Walsh another good one I thought. I still enjoy Plummer story's rouges and running dogs, lepus, are a couple of good ones
