That looks bad. My dogs bruise is nothing like that , but is darker. The bit on the tricep can be covered by my index finger tip. And the bit on the rib can be covered by 2-3 finger tip lol
Thanks for replies. He's a fast dog , and gives his all , for his size he turns sharp as hell and this weather can't of helped think all that combined caused it.
Is it a big injury to have ? As in will it keep repeating ? I have rubbed it twice a day 5 minutes a time and kept a jacket on him too so is always warm. Iv applied arnica cream to bruised areas too. Hopefully he will come right
Thumbnail on the tricep, and bruising to the rib bit, just back from armpit. He's not lame at all. Been advised since post by a guy I know with greyhounds to keep on lead for 4 weeks.
If it was in a book it must be true , ffs lol
Why would this concern anyone running lurchers anyway. competition shouldn't even be in working dogs, soon as it does that's when people talk shit and it all goes down hill.
looks a nice type pal, looks big dog too what sizes it?He's a shade over 24ttshow is he bred ? He looks more collie greyhound to me. Wouldn't of thought any bull. He's a nice looking dogI had his mother before him untill she was 8years who was a 1/8 beddy 2/8 bull 5/8 greyhound.I also knew his sire diesel from a pup who was a 5/8 grey 3/8 collie.
Both single handed dogs.
Atb

Any of you run your dogs with the strong stuff collars, and then taken them off and run with different smaller collar ? Find mine does better with smaller ... But strong stuff definitely lives up to its names it's certainly strong.
The two Iv seen were less than impressive to say the least. Between the two , you could say stubborn, thick, dog aggressive and jacker on rabbit lol but have heard more good about the cross than bad.
Apart from injuries and few unlucky nights my dog is doing ok first season of his. Like I said, if he hadn't of had injuries I think he be flying by now lol
She looks a fast dog. I took my dog out 11-12 month old and caught first night out first run on the lamp , first rabbit he ever saw etc but I wouldn't of said he was mature at all. He was quick enough and keen enough at that age but still wouldn't say was all round matured? He saw two foxes at 12-14 months old and was keen and pulling like a train but in my mind still wasn't mature ? Or maybe I'm too over cautious ?
Who knows lol
beardy and known to take longer the border to mature too, and your bitch is beardy border in she? Any recent pictures of her? I liked her when you posted her at 10 or 12 months I think
My brindle bitch is just settling down now at 2 and half. Getting something like and knows the job
My pup is 1 in 2 weeks and is still a baby in lots of ways. I can't see her being even close to "'mature" for another 12 months.
I'm glad bitches mature earlier. Lol
haha I bet, my last bitch I don't think mentally matured until 3. But she was big. My dog now seems mature at 2. But I don't think any dog really is mature 12 months. Think 2 is about right and then bigger the fog generally the longer it takes. Not saying anyone's wrong or that wha I said was right. Just from what Iv seen of
