    I was only a little lad back in 70s. I remember my father telling me she was up on them pressuring type as soon as she got to them striking but had plenty of stamina! I remember my father telling me that the sire to this bitch was bought of a farmer in Wales and was the ugliest dog he had ever seen , but old bill had seen the dog run over a couple of weeks and he run seven and not missed one . I asked my father what breed the sire was he said he wasn't sure but it looked like a suluki x stag but mostly it looked like a goat lol

    @baw. Yep I know mate one old bitch and two 6 month old pups . That's how he got his pups going its just how he used to do it back in the day!

    @ goldfinch lol yer me the same John walked his fathers dogs on a proper good lead and i used to slip a piece of hay bailing twine through the collar. If they see a cat it used to cut right into me hand lol

    Lol when this mans son went back to school after the Christmas holidays the teacher ask us what we got for Christmas presents. One lad said a chopper bike another mechano and then the teacher ask this mans son John . He replied "a leather slip lead , a wax jacket and a new pair of welly boots" the teachers mouth dropped wide open and the whole class sat silent for a complete minute lol I lmfao lol

    Wm spot on ! but it does make me laugh at the state of play nowadays , that there has to be a thread on here explaining that if your dog goes in you have to get it out without abandoning it ffs !!

    Well I don't think it's just one thing but many . You can say its money, bad owners , show ponys, not culling and so on . But for me one of the biggest problems is the ban ! What I means is not being able to enter your dog anywhere Without fear of being locked up ! When I was a kid I dug in allotments behind my estate on the school playing fields , railway banks and many places that I shouldn't have but the dogs got the work ! I don't think I would've got In to terrier work if I was young now . For a young lad that lived on a council estate that can't drive maybe only enough money for his bus

    Nah liquidise hes food , ill change he'd grub to complete and if he does it again ill have him down the vets and if it is more serious ill have him pts.He's a working dog at the end of the day!! Also I'm having a bit of a humour failure as I can't see what's funny in a tidy little grafting dog choking and putting it on hear for people to laugh at .

    One of my terriers bolts his meat and he's past out whilst eating , I picked him up gave him a squeeze and he came back round. Now I know the answer is to feed him smaller pieces so he doesn't choke but the pieces I feed my dogs aren't large and ive never seen any of my other dogs passed out while eating! Now I am wondering if it might be something else have any of you come across this or am I worrying for nowt and the dogs just a pig???

    A magazine is only as good as the people that send in articles of their experiences . I'm sure the editor would like to have more people to write in. Why don't you send him in some of yours

    I'm not very good with words and i don't know how i could explain to someone that's never hunted and had that same feeling! How would I explain the only thing I find more beutifull than an hare in a field is a hare in a field with a dog coursing it! The same feeling I got from seeing both athletes run and seeing a chess match played out whoever the winner might be! Hunting is more than one thing and its hard to explain why I do it as I enjoy all seeing all our creatures . I just do , it's a deep feeling and I can't explain it to someone that's not had that same feeling.
