Been reading quite a bit lately since GM started this thread and Tomatoes especially when made into a sauce is very good along with what GM said Olive Oil. The Mediterranean diet seems to have huge benefits. I find it a struggle myself cutting back on Butter, Chips, Salt, and Bread but I do include a lot of veg in my diet. Although I have gone over to eating Muti Grain Bread and now love it. I said this in other threads that changing to Muti Grain stopped reflux over night and never came back. My Brother-in-Law die after getting cancer Oesophagus from having reflux for many years, wish I had k

Camera Lens For Back Garden Birds
Arry replied to eastcoast's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Think the lens that would be good is 150-600mm zoom mate. Trouble is that about £700 I went into this sort of thing and realised I could not afford that with other hobbies I have so I went for a Panasonic Lumix FZ150. Its been superseded now. But you could get one of eBay for under £100. The FZ150 in my opinion takes really good picture of birds, has a optical lens of uptown 600mm. I know thats not what you really want but much cheaper. Panasonic Lumix FZ150 Digital Camera, 24x Zoom, 1080P Video, Excellent Condition WWW.EBAY.CO.UK <p>It is use -

Well not a Swallow but was up the garden last night and I noticed a blue tit go in the box on the house with food. Didn't even know they were in there as I never cleaned the box out these year because of all the shit weather earlier in the year. So theres a camera in the box which hasn't been cleaned so remembered where all the wires went and how to set the TV. There seems to be about 8 young, sorry about the quality but still good to watch live . Cheers Arry

So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?
Arry replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I don't grow pumpkins mate but this might work as I use it for cucumbers. Get a piece of kitchen roll tissue wet it so its damp fold it into four then unfold half put seeds in fold back to four put in a zip lock bag and put in airing cupboard. Cucumbers germinate with inch long root in just three day then carefully pot on, works a treat mate. -
Have a look at "Hen of the Woods" (Maitake), "Lions Main" , "Birch Polypore" all suppose to be anti cancer. My Father-in Law had prostate cancer for 19 year went to his bone in the end that killed him. Also a mate I metal detected with almost up to Christmas just gone had it for 5 years he was a well fit man body builder rugby player. He had no symptoms till he had a well man check up they then found it he had treatment but it went to his bones as well we lost him about six weeks ago, lovely bloke. RIP Mark my mate. GM I'm a believer in the hedge row medicines mate. Had my first cup

Think it was Greyman that put up a thread on cheap chains a while back. Think it might have been Rotatech just wondering are they any good. Just got an old Husqvarna 254 going but its only got 13"bar which is a bit small for that motor. Don't want to spend £100 on a old saw. Cheers Arry
