Have a look at Bridge cameras mate I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ150. This has a zoom on it of 24x which I think I'm right in saying equivalent to 600mm. To be honest takes some good photos. Mine has been superseded not but you can still pick one up on ebay for about £100 / £150 they were about £500 new.

Fairly common but localised. Can be found in large numbers at any time of year but more common in the Winter months.

Those check padded shirts seem to be the worse I tend to live in them this time of the year mate. Its the back door and the sitting room handles, keep saying going to change them for a proper door knobs.

One of my pet hates is when I'm walking through the house and the handle on a door gets caught in my shirt sleeve stopping me dead worse if I'm carrying a cup of tea.

Bugger its warm out coil to the soil today down to T shirt today.
Wouldn't call it harvest Mate but got a few crocuses up and primroses. Snow drops poking there heads up and the Daphne bush just starting to flower.

I won't used the cheap ones off ebay not only are they unreliable (I've had them die with the ferret in ground) and they don't last long. They also must leak a bit because you have to clean the little pin in the centre of the collar every trip.
I use Renata batteries and as others have said if you disconnect the cap when you get home they will last all season.
