I posted some pictures on signs of spring. A bloody cat from two doors up keeps turning after the ferret kibbles I put down for the Hedgehog. Last night a much bigger cat turn up with strange markings, I've not seen this one about. The normal cat much smaller and he's a big bugger, I've had him a few times Lol. Cheers Arry

Was trying a new program to get a bit deeper and it did but I ended up digging more iron. Dug these interesting old horse shoes that look like they got some age to them. Think they are medieval or post medieval. If any body has more info please tell. Key hole horse shoe. Might try and clean them up. Cheers Arry

Done it with a hazel whip and bramble and I think the hazel whip is best. Used the same way sometimes better to strip the bark off the thin end twist gently til it locks not to far or it brakes then easy it out. I read a a story where at night lads would take a bag of straw to a bank that held rabbits block as many holes at arms length with the straw. Then scare the rabbits back into the hedge the same as long netting but with out a net. Then put your arm down check ever hole thats blocked. I've never tried it but cant see why it wouldn't work. Sorry no likes left today will try and get back when I have more. Couldn't agree more. We do a lot of thick old blackthorn hedges digging in through loads of roots and making a mess is not good. My mate I keep a few different size Ferrets, horses for courses so to speak. Fidget as she is called was good but as you say see would not stay, I didn't mind that you get more done. The bigger gill they don't f**k about there bolting or dead but more digging. There not bad though they will leave a dead one after a while. I don't mind digging if I'm not taking a hedge down and I'm not diggin

Petty much a black eyed white now Fred she used to have a little grey on her shoulders. She has always been a lovely little ferret to handle in fact the only ferret the Wife will pick up. Kids love her she it so gentle. Was looking at her this morning and wondering how much time she has left. Half the size of my other two gills. Cheers Arry
