  1. Well done Mooch. Yeah its great to have some dry weather but the young are going to force our hand to having to hang up the nets till next season. Got to try and give a mate off here a day out, he works off shore for a month at a time but should be back soon. Cheers Arry
  2. Young again today. It's a shame the weather is changing and another dry day. Only few hours for just three but nice and easy hedge. No pictures sorry forgot my phone on charge at home. Cheers Arry
  3. It's lovely stuff mate if you want it to come earlier then plant about March/April to come about December through to March, depending on how much you grow. Mine is late this year and not as big as normal as I never had a slot to put them in until the Onions came out in July. I would recommend "Rudolph" which is pretty bomb proof or a F! high breed call "Claret" which produces bigger spears. Cheers Arry
  4. Well picking it now mate. I planted it middle of last year. it takes a fair while to come but I like it. Cheers Arry

  9. I found the Hasp but its a real puzzle to me as it has no fixing holes. Any body recognise it or seen one before. I would love some info on it. Cheers Arry
  10. I haven't put anything up on this thread for a while, so here's a few bits and pieces. A Medieval Annular Buckle. A Saxon stirrup mount. A Tudor rose broach. A Ox Ball for going on the end of Ox or Cows horn. A Lead Seal. George 3rd Sixpence. This harness buckle and horse brass I decided to clean up. I put a new brass pin in the buckle because the iron one had rusted away. Then put a leather belt on it for Wifey. Cheers Arry
  11. Well apparently it's Cornish Pasty day. These are not Cornish they are Devonshire Pasties Lol. Cheers Arry

  14. Another very warm day, had to lose the shirt. Down to a T shirt, its February. I detect one field I call the field of dreams ive had so much good stuff from. Well these fields are the fields of broken dreams Lol. 5.5 miles and it was shit. Cheers Arry
  15. Stay strong mate. You and your Ms are doing every thing right. You can only be there for your Daughter and you are. Wishing you all the luck in the world. Arry
  16. End the sewage pollution scandal YOU.38DEGREES.ORG.UK We're sick of it. Sick of the lies, sick of the greed, and sick of a system rigged against us. This is a scandal and this dirty business must end. For more than 30 years... The b*****ds are f***ing our rivers and shores up. Please sign this petition Cheers Arry
  17. Yeah Tomo seen that. They're not going to admit any thing. Exmouth just the other side of the rive reported I think it was 190 odd people sick last year. That Surfer against Sewage site is worth a look. Cheers Arry
  18. Only managed 3 but we knocked on the head about midday. we were both knackered Lol. Cheers Arry
  19. It's a dramatisation based on fact about the Water Companies polluting the rivers and coast like the one they did on the Post Office Scandal. In the first program they covered a 8 year old girl that caught the worst strain of E.coli at Dawlish Warren and after a harrowing 12 day she died. Its called "Dirty Business" All based on fact and its shocking, make my blood boil. I looked on Surfers Against Sewage site and South West Water Site last week and nearly every river and beach in Devon and Cornwall was polluted. Cheers Arry
  20. I know I'm an old bugger but I struggled to day. Photos are a bit deceiving it's steeper than it looks. It was beautiful day and dry for a change, only managed three but no young this time. Although they were all in young. Post and wire again, so put run nets behind nearly every fence post. I said to my mate where next, he said I know a place that does a nice cup of tea. Yeah my place so thats where we went Lol. Cheers Arry
  21. Any body watching channel 4. tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday. Nearly every beach in the South West north and south was polluted last week. f***ing SWW. Nobody should have to hold their 8 year old daughter and watch her die in their arms. Cheers Arry
  22. Steak Pie. cheers Arry
  23. In the mid 60's I remember nearly getting sent home from school for wearing Winkle Pinker boots that I nagged and nagged my mother for Lol. Used to stuff tissue paper in the toes to stop them curling up. Cheers Arry
  24. Bought a fair size bit of Cod for Wifey and me. Did the ginger beer batter then covered in panko bread crumbs with triple cook chunky chips. Cheers Arry
