There is not one party in this country that is going to support any kind of hunting, maybe fishing for a while but they will make that harder and harder. They all pander to the gleany greenies and the media hate any kind of hunting while knowing f**k all about it. The future for the country skills is grim imo. Cheers Arry

I only eat multi grain bread now mate and very interestingly is I used to get reflux from white bread of coarse I never realised it was the white bread I thought it was cheese. From the moment I changed to multi grain bread my reflux went. I would agree with most food you mention but our grandparents didn't have the information we have now and most grandfathers went from heart attacks or cancer from smoking. Yes mate I was per Diabetic then they said I have gone over the thresh hold now. They put me on Metformin which with a a diet change and losing a stone in weight seems to be under control. Gave the group sessions the elbow I hate have to commit to that sort of thing. What got me was have the check ups blood test etc and bollacking was a nurse that was about five foot two and about 16 stone tell me to lose weight. I cut out sugar as much as I could have Oat flakes with chia seed, flax seed sprinkled on plus blue berries and raspberry with oat milk for breakfast. Now they are telling

But when the Jocks came down to Devon when the factory's closed for Jock fortnight they were f***ing nuts. I worked on Paignton harbour letting motor boat and rowing boat it was a nightmare for two weeks. They would be walking around pissed up on Scrumpy in the morning swimming with a flagon of Cider crashing the boats let off the fire extinguishers. Cheers Arry

Some years ago now a mate of mine did a stone wall entrance to a big house for a millionaire. When he finished it he went for payment and he just said I'm not paying you. He said what's wrong with the work oh he said nothing I'm just not paying you. So my mate got a JCB a lorry ripped the wall up put it lorry took it away. Made ends meet by squeaking up Charley for the pelts Squirrel tails Jays wing Rabbits etc. Different days they just twat every thing now with night sights. Keepers from the bordering estate to one of my perm's slaughtered all the Foxes there was literally none the farmer is a hunting man wasn't worth a meet on his ground I miss that. Rabbits still high demand I can shift all I catch to Butchers and Pubs not had any comments as I take them in. Well one woman makes it clear she don't like it but she works in the bloody Butchers ffs. Lucky where I live we still have 3 independent Butcher all sell

Not a fish favoured by many mate. When I worked on Salmon Seine fishing boat gave a big Mullet to the lady across the road she cut it into steaks and baked it in butter. It was beautiful didn't think Mullet could taste so good. Cheers Arry

It's blatant by the water company's though. South West Water had 58.000 spills 530.000 hours in 2023. Last week really every beach on the south coast of Devon had sewage alerts. A woman trying to sue the water board in Exmouth was told you don't have a right to swim in the sea and they don't have to make sure the seas and rivers are not polluted. Well In my option its about time this was sorted and they are brought to book. Cheers Arry

Think a lot of us older one liked football when we was young. I used to follow West Ham in the Geff Hurst, Martin Peters , Bobby Moor days proper footballers. My parents supported Manchester United and every body else seem to as well so went for West Ham to piss them off and they used to score a lot of goals back then. When contractor move on to a site they usually put the roads and drains in first. By doing this they often cut through the pattern of old land drains that maybe hundreds of years old upsetting the water courses. I was a main contractor ground worker at one time and these land drains used to fascinate me and how they used to dig them. Just a foots width at the bottom tapered so at shoulder height it would be as wide as a man shoulder, I seen them 8 feet deep how those guys worked back then. The water company's have been taking the piss ever since privatisation. No investment till it all started to go tits up, not one reservoir built since privatisation. Here in the South West they pollute nearly every beach and river every time it rains. When privatisation took place we in the South West were told we would have to pay more because of our long coast line and it would take more money to clean up.
