Sorry no likes left today will try and get back when I have more. Couldn't agree more. We do a lot of thick old blackthorn hedges digging in through loads of roots and making a mess is not good. My mate I keep a few different size Ferrets, horses for courses so to speak. Fidget as she is called was good but as you say see would not stay, I didn't mind that you get more done. The bigger gill they don't f**k about there bolting or dead but more digging. There not bad though they will leave a dead one after a while. Petty much a black eyed white now Fred she used to have a little grey on her shoulders. She has always been a lovely little ferret to handle in fact the only ferret the Wife will pick up. Heres an account of a sighting my Ferreting and Fishing buddy saw. He was driving down a small country lane opposite side of the estuary to Salcombe when he saw as he approached a brown animal laid in the road. He slow down thinking it was something knocked down when it sat up then jump clean over a six foot hedge I one go. Was only 20 or so yards away broad day light on a sunny day. It was a puma he and his niece both say the same. Was about 20 years ago now but he always tells me the story when we drive down that lane when we go fishing there.
