  1. Rabbits use sight, scent, sound and speed for survival.. Sight, scent and speed will affect you when snaring.. Sight, they can see nooses depending on size of loop and they can see snares that stand out, more so during daylight hours and combined with travelling at slow speed through the likes of a fenceline and scent they do pick foreign smells up.. this will affect things to a degree.. so you compensate by setting earlier, weathering, precise loop size and positioning, put everything in your favour.. Obviously this won't effect you when peg snaring out from the warrens on good runs as t

Magdon, are you trying provoke a reaction here, what do you wish to gain from your thread?
  3. This was a case of mistaken identity, but thanks for unveling a bad egg Mr Brush... oops. Robert apoligies for the inconvenience, an error was made, your account will be unbanned. As for the numbers game, well its nice to have big bags, but it sours some people, they get competitive, and the big heads take over... Just enjoy your hunting, dogs, friends and experiences,...thats what really counts..
  4. Looks a fine muntie Penny, get him on a plate...He'll do the wall and table
  5. My fault sorry guys, I was going away on the morning and wanted to keep on top of things, to not sound too technical, I tried optimising the table of the database that contains all the posts on this forum, and ran into errors, this was around 08:00am monday, not sure why or how, but it shouldn't of happened... Saying that I may have caused issues with that table so I imported it again from a daily backup of the site, 4hours earlier.. To give you an idea the posts table alone is roughly 2GB, so it pretty large.. Hopefully all smooth now, very sorry for the upset...caused me loads of hassle
  6. Keep them, they cost nothing to feed.. You will fire up again, and like said you will be gutted you sold them..
  7. Ah right, for some reason I thought you were on about stops on some rabbit snares.. I went off on a tangent,, I use small nuts for stops on fox snares, I normally either position them were I want and give them a tap with the hammer, just enough, the threads only need to bite slightly to prevent the snare locking... Or you can control it more precisely, using a vice, either way will do..
  8. Another pathetic thread that doesn't need to be advertised.. Going very soon.
  9. Never seen what you have nod, try lightly crimping with some sidecutters..Emphasis on lightly..

  17. Its just a cheap one Martin, I looked at some of the canon lens and I fancied a 17-50 f2.8 IS job with the efs mount, but it was x3 times more than this lens, and I just wanted to dabble a bit... So I got a tamron f2.8 17-55 non stabilised with the ef mount, so its basically a 27-88mm lens with my body..but its ok, they mentioned the autofocus is whiney on some reviews compared to the canon usm ones, but its nothing at all, especially for what I use it for, its either here nor there...
