  5. They would need to be heavily laminated to spread pressure, plus they dont have a means of locking like the standard foothold does as well as firing higher on the foot above the pad of a fox or coyote... Use the correct tool for the job,the genuine articles are better all round, obviously this is in the USA and the states were there use is legal.
  6. They would be no good logun, there not designed as a hold trap, they class them as killer traps. They might hold rabbits but would not hold larger animals and would cause injury more than anything..
  7. I'm after a .22 Hornet for anyone thinking of selling.. CZ preferably.

  13. So its a lot more accurate than just using the vernier... I looked on the net, but only seen the hornaday comparators available..Cheers lads
  14. Anyone use a comparator and any you would recommend to buy.. I'm just using a standard vernier caliper at the minute, thinking the comparitor witll help with that extra accuracy?
  15. I also wear Meindl Dovre, love them, had Le Chameau Mouflons in the past, not in the same league as the Meindl.

  17. Enslaving other people? Anyone caught should have a dose of there own medicine and be locked up and the key thrown away, taking someone elses life and freedom against their own will...
  18. Had a little bump with a stationary object earlier on in the year, which lost my full no claims and dropped it down to 3 years, was minor damage and no third party involved. My insurance trebled with my existing company NFU and I tried a few others which where all still more again, the likes of lancaster, liverpool victoria, etc some over £2000 .. Shocking. Anyway had a look confused.com and got insured for £700 less than my existing company that I have been with for 5 years.. Just a heads up to peeps to check the comparison sites when your renewals due. http://www.confused.com/
  19. Some just see it as shooting and vermin control, they just leave them were they drop...Its a waste to me. Only had 1 with mixy from the full lot. thought it might of hit them harder. Ha Ha, some do, and visit their sites more often and keep them under control, I don't have anywhere I can take that many in a night because the land is managed properly! :D :whistling: ATB! Where is the Smiley with the Tin Hat this is a dairy farm on a massive sporting estate thats heavily keepered, they don't have time for rabbiting most of the time and the access
  20. .22 rimmy...feck that HMR lark too messy and costly for a good night out..
  21. Horses for courses, people like different things in life, yes I'd agree dogs are more sporting also ferreting to gun or dog, using nets when ferreting isn't sporting, its about killing whatever is in there.... trapping and snaring is an age old art, used long before dog, ferret or gun were even thought of, and probably one of the most efficient means of controlling a pest. likes been said, some do it as a means to an end to control something either as a landowner or professional level, others enjoy just getting out there and reading the signs, and catching something with the bare essentials. I
  22. I'll try and get something knocked together time permitting. Agree totally swamp thang, most people just cant seem to see it though, some go mad for the so called organic products, nothing is more organic than wild meat and fodder from the field and hedgrow of our countryside. I sell most to gamedealers now though, so it all goes back into the food chain, even if joe public pays extra for the wildside, we get the pleasure of the hunt, know exactly hows it being prepared and the end result of our kill for the table for free
