Oh well just stick with the thirsty 4x4's ... If your buying 2006 onwards the tax bracket has increased anything before then will be as was I think... Just go for a shogun or disco moll you know it makes sense, comfortable ride, solid and capable offroad.........

A BMW X5 molly, shit off a stick and pretty economical.... but seriously all the new style pickups will do around or over 30mpg hilux/l200/navara the older l200's weren't as economical with the old style 2.5td engines in... but most diesel 4x4 vehicles ie discovery/shogun/trooper/landcruiser/defender your looking at between 23-30mpg if your wanting higher mpg, get a car
  9. Alright ditch theres a 30min window you have the ability to correct or edit your post, after that the edit facility is removed... I can easily disable this or increase the limit... I've reverted this now..
  10. To be honest mate for an allrounder for reasonable money 4x4 I'd probably go for a shogun or discovery, for an out and out shooting/hunting bus then the defender is the machine but hardly the best on road ... Out of the pickups navara/l200/hilux there all good reliable motors, I'd say more personal choice than anything... For offroad / road ability and reliability I'd go for the shogun/landcruiser/discovery2/3....for something you just want to go anywhere get muddy, dirty, stinking, then hose it out and not bother about road noise and handling.......defender....

  20. Recently received an email with someone wanting advice, thought the wider public may be able to shed some light and maybe help them... I am currently trying to research a painting, photographs attached, and would be extremely grateful if you were able to shed some light on the scene and the possible ownership of the dogs. As you'll see in the images, the dogs are ratting in the hay and are all branded with the letter 'P'. On hunting dogs this usually identifies the owner, perhaps Lord Palmerston or Lord Portland? Do you have any ideas as to who the owner might be - it is an unusual subj
