The laserlites are good quality lamps, well put together, if I was going to go down the 100w blaserlite route though I'd probably get a lightforce or niteforce lamp instead...
Yes the only thing you can catch with dogs in england scotland and wales is rats and rabbits and you need permission to do this, also you can use a terrier if your a gamekeeper for the protection of gamebirds for foxes to bolt them out of an earth.
Its a really stupid law to be honest and it must be a nightmare for people who face any charges for illegal hunting, solicitors included... Your best bet is to get a shotgun/fac license on some permission, your dogs can then flush game for your gun or rifle , without any worries...
Stop being so paranoid if your that concerned wrap in some cotton wool and don't go out, do you really think someone looking at your profile can harm you in anyway...........they might get a hitman on you though so watch out

Shooting to ferrets can be good sport, all depends what your into, I'd much rather use lurchers given the choice with the right land to run on, but nets and guns all have there place...
I've got both, you can't beat the .22lr as a general rabbiting rifle and lamping gun....no way, quiet, cheap, deadly the .17hmr is great for daytime longshots though and very flat shooting with greater range, does cause quite a bit of damage and the rounds are x3 cost of .22 ammo.
I've had no problem with it so far, its done 43,000 trouble free miles, and has got me everywhere, its basic...who needs more, I only use it for hunting....its got the BF mud terrains on too, gets me anywhere I want without a worry....
