    Nice Tune

    Yes legend song....
  3. Yes I agree wth you there, although I always operate the trap and ensure its free to fire when setting, and clear any obstructions... But wet/freezing conditions can hamper them, as it clogs, when covering them..lot of sheep farms have mole problems, so yes the sheep can knock them more as they protrude, although I still use them with success...I use dufus and talpa, and both do the job very well...
  4. Good post poacher.... nice boar...yummy!!!
  5. Had a look out for a few hours with Butler on the quad, managed a few bits and pieces to fill the freezer and treated him to a bacon sandwich...jeez I spoil him , also managed to get a nice dog fox off a farm, hes just about to let the chickens out any day now, this one was sniffing about near a fenceline, till it came bombing in when Butler gave it a call....
  6. Theres been isolated cases were polar bears have been killed with a .22 LR, doesn't make it the right tool for the job.... Same as a .17hmr, stick 20gr in and you could drop roe deer out to 100yd head shots, apart from being illegal and showing disrespect for your quarry... To be honest if I was out with a HMR taking a long shot at a fox and clipped it outside the head/chest region and it ran on wounded... I'd be gutted, to me thats my fault, firstly because the calibre I was using DID NOT allow enough room for human error and secondly for making a foul shot, that I shoudn't have done, nothing
  7. Thanks so much for you comments. I will take them into consideration next time I am on a US site..... Not that your comments would be worth mentioning to any American's - Americans are aware of how the rest of the world feels about us. "Love ya man" I can feel your pain it's good to get it out because harboring resentments is like taking poison and expecting someone else to die.! SGS Shotgun Sniper..... Feel free to post, everyones entitled to an opinion and view......ignore anyone narrow minded...
  8. I shoot them all year round, in certain areas they can be a pain to keep on top of..... Its the wet weather the last few months thats slowed me down...
  9. Bodygrips are excellent for runs, for example through hedges, fences, or longer grass, like you will see in the next month or so.... Only downside is by law they need tunnels and this doesn't help when trapping runs...
  10. Depends on how many rabbits your going to be shooting... Pros of .22 - Cheap to feed, quiet, not messy... Cons Of .22 - Pellet drops off 8" at 100yd with 50 yd zero. Pros of .17HMR - Flatter shooting out to 120yd, extra range... Cons of .17HMR - Expensive to feed, noisey, messy..
  11. mfgsupply from the states are cheap for gasket sets, pistons, rings, barrels, pads etc, i usually find it cheaper to buy from them than the uk even with postal charges Excellent, I'll add it to the links at the top..
  12. Mines a Honda 300 4x4 - 98 model..... Nothing at the minute just for reference, mainly filters and pads, etc Oh and the seals for when I take the rear drum of and replace the pads, theres a few seals that are to be replaced, everytime this is done...could reuse probably though..
  13. Added to list.. Any other suppliers of pads, filters, etc would be good...
  14. Anyone recommend any online sites for quad spares... We can pin it to this section for future reference.. I'm after some honda spares myself..theres not that much available online... http://www.quadparts...co.uk/index.php http://www.thequadcentre.com/ http://www.quadbreakers.co.uk/ http://www.mfgsupply.com/ http://www.bondcroftatvs.co.uk http://www.oro2u.com/ http://www.quadbikeswales.co.uk/
  15. Yes very powerful spring, they are a good trap, there popular no doubt at all about that and do the job humanely..... I can't criticise there killing power, its just the cost against other traps, and size, when carrying large quantities... two major downfalls in my book..as I said most people will buy the one and stick it in there back garden or loft, were there ideal if they have a problem......
  16. When you wonder into the world of "overkill"..... I have to say I consider the 6 useful, but it is nowhere near as powerful as this... http://www.kania.net/ Mind your fingers... Bodygrips anyday, my opinion anyway, especially when it comes to cost, size and trapping numb squirrels...
  17. I've got a led lenser p14 model I think it is, excellent bit of kit uses AA batteries, nice powerful clear, spot to flood beam and good battery life. I just use it handheld and in the motor for picking up and walking on, but It would be excellent fitted to an air rifle for rabbits and rats, as many do on here...
  18. Good fun whippeter... keep it up buddy...
  19. I've got a new 140 and 170 here gun mounted... If your still after one...
  20. I have the 70-300mm Canon IS lens, not sure how much they are now...but this is the one... http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/reviews/ef_70_300is_review.html Can't fault it, you can really tell the difference in sharpness and colour, etc over a standard lens....
  21. Thread cleaned up, keep it sensible...
  22. He's in process of moving homes, so not sure how active he is at the minute....
