With six v hobs over the years I've not seen this although they've never had more than three Jill's to serve. I have seen older Jill's be more difficult to mate. Also have heard from Essex ferret rescue that v hobs can become reluctant to mate if presented with too many bills in a short space of time. Unfortunately I don't have a great answer for you, only if you haven't tried the mating one to one in a separate cage that's worked for me with an old Jill who wouldn't easily mate. Last thing, interesting yours came back into season. All my Jill's also came back in this year

Just out for a slow walk with old Gypsy for the last ever time this morning before we take her to the vets..Shes been slowing down and dragging behind a bit for the last few months but I just put it down to age and the hot weather but this last week she's panting hard just moving around the garden.Been refusing food and drinking gallons of water.Shes got a few lumps on the outside this last year and now her belly is starting to look swollen and hard so I'm guessing its on the inside too especially most of her litter went from tumours.Shes done well outliving all of her littermates by at least

While trying to do a bit more research on the beardie sire to add to this thread (for other people's information) I found the pedigree for the collie lurcher dam. Very impressive. Off the top of my head, the names I can remember are Hancock's Rufus, Sharpe's Moss (who was great grand-sire to my last lurcher), Hancock's Katie (who was grand-dam to my collie x whippet) and a dog I've read about on here called Arri.
