  2. We’re 18th out of over 200 countries! That’s not “very low” imo. The problem we have in this country is regulation. We’ve got huge industries built around our national fear of some c**t stubbing their toe on a non compliant traffic cone etc. we’ve created so much waste out of fear that we now have no money or the bureaucratic freedom to do anything constructive about it. We could spend more but we need to get over this paralysing fear that makes us turn a 10k job into a 500k “programme”.
  3. If you open the list on this link. It shows that our welfare spending is at a very low level. Second bottom in fact, with the USA at the very bottom. No surprise there. We do not spend anywhere near the level of the nordic countries, France, Germany or Spain. What else is a government for but to provide for its citizens? Much more needs to be spent on health, children, the elderly and defence. During Covid , many infected people attended work because with state sick pay at less than £ 100 per week, they could not afford to take time off. It's estimated that many people were ne

  6. The killing has started if you want to know what’s happening may I suggest you watch tusi tv he’s an Iranian excile with family still in the country and is a pretty good independent news source
  7. We’re getting worryingly close to finding out the answer to the Fermi paradox!
  8. Latest from Donald,game on.

  10. Part of what I think is confusing so many people on this, including the administration at large, is that tactical victories do not equal strategic success. We’re seeing this in Iran, the US has demonstrated an onslaught of tactical masterpieces and yet the strategic outcome is looking far worse than the day before they engaged in bombing the shit out of them. Contrary to supporting the up rising it’s probably caused them to rally around the flag against the US.
  11. He’s completely out of his depth now. I genuinely wonder if the job has taken a toll on his mind, which would be completely understandable for a man of his age. For a president that was playing quite tactically on the international stage he has just gone completely off the rails with this. Childish levels of strategy imo.
  12. He’s trapped himself on the escalatory ladder now and imo is showing his lack of experience. Up until this Iran war I thought his foreign policy was pretty much bang on in a way that former presidents had not managed. He’s played this terribly imo. And the consequences could be very severe and long lasting for the US and consequently the western world. What an absolute disaster.
  13. I think he's going the same way as old joe....at least it's keeping the Epstein heat of him .....for now lol
  14. Much as I like Trump , he’s starting to sound like a megalomaniac dictator with his social media and televised pronouncements. In the same day he will announce he is speaking to the regime and a deal is near, then a few hours later he is saying he will bomb them into the Stone Age if they don’t open the Strait of Homuz, then back to saying the war is won but threatening to blow up all the bridges and power plants. How many “48 hour” deadlines has he gave them now ? Maybe he is trying to confuse them Cheers.
  15. Isn’t that exactly the same as what some people are slagging Farage/Reform off for doing ? Perhaps Lowe has realised, like Farage , that appealing to his core voters only, will not get him into power. Both Restore and Reform will have to get the votes of the “undecided”, the “middle ground”, the people who are disenfranchised or dissalusioned with the legacy parties.. Polanski comes across as a lunatic, but by attracting the far left, the greens and the Muslim vote he is playing a blinder, but also maybe playing with fire as he probably won’t be able to hold such disparate group
  16. Any of you lot see the post Trump put up yesterday I think it was....it was one crazy post....Tuesday will be bridge and power plant day...as there will be smashed to bits...open the straights you crazy b*****ds praise be to Allah.... If some one can copy and paste it....proper bad ass...
  17. That surprised me too tbh. Seemed ‘off’ for him. I liked his post about Polanski though, trying not to alienate everyone who feels disenfranchised with the mainstream but are currently left leaning. That shows a lot of political intelligence imo.
  18. Jack Maloney's from Farm Foods, decent. Cheers, D.
  19. It makes me angry when idiots on tv say the state pension is a “benefit “ ! Its not ! If you haven’t paid into it in the form of so many years National Insurance contributions, you don’t get a pension , simple as that. Being put up for free in a hotel, getting fed for free, free clothes, free phone, pocket money, free transport, etc are benefits given to people that shouldn’t be in this country are benefits old people can only dream of ! If the benefit system needs reducing, I wouldn’t start with the pensioners, I know where I would start ! Cheers.
