Pretty much everyone who works "full time" pays for the NHS now mate. Years ago I was offered private health care for myself and my wife in work as a "perk" I could have taken that up and been less of a burden on the NHS but it turned out I would be taxed on it, I had no option of opting out of paying NI it was just another way to tax me.
