Bosun11 537
Been in Walton Hall Park lake Liverpool for years. If they can survive there the'll survive anywhere!! They live through winters and grow big on all sorts of fishing bait and buttys! Some kids had them off once and a mob of angry fishermen found them and brought em back. CRAZYHORSE 2,647
my mate was feeder fishing a few years back, the tip wrapped round and there was a terrapin on the end, I don't think it was much fun trying to get the hook out.
peterhunter86 8,627
A mate of mine caught a big one in the canal kept it for a few weeks then put it back,u don't think they can breed over here it doesn't get hot enough to incubate their eggs.

PINNACLE 2,297
Seen a few, River Wey in Surrey, Bushy Park, Hampton and in a lake on a Golf Course near Weybridge. So I guess they are quite common. Good to get a photo of one.
Mister Gain 1,759
Used to be a few of them inhabiting the Silt Pond at Horton Kirby some years back. My mate's son landed one and said the fcuking thing was trying to take his fingers off LOL. They used to sunbathe on the island. Don't know if they got removed as it was netted (improved) a few times since, and I've let my membership lapse.
