Squirrel_Basher 17,104 Posted September 12, 2020 Report Share Posted September 12, 2020 If that were the case lads here wouldnt get any digging .Big hole ,no jumping in and wash dogs eyes out after .Had 4m digs to bedrock before in sand .When you’ve got to use a kango for that last 2 foot is time to worry . Yes sand can be dodgey but so can anything else if not done correctly .Worst cave in we had was in chalk some of the most stable ground there is .Got caught out in a rain storm once dig sand in an open field which wasn’t fun at all . Tunnelled into a sand quarry face when I was quite young and had about 5 ton of sand come down on me .Still be there but for the lad I knocked about with back then .Knocked the wind clean out of me .
