There’s a carrier strike deployment most years now. This one is going north rather than east. It’s not a big deal tbh. More aimed at pacifying the yanks than countering the Russians. There’s been a growing focus on the high north over recent years.

That’s all well and good born but he needs a couple digs anyway  but do you think the navy boss man would honestly obey any strike orders ? Or would he send In  Code to the Russian boss words  to the effect of “ sorry for any intrusion sergy. Have we got enough aircraft capable of complimenting the carrier ?

Have we enough surface ships and submarines to protect it ?

Have we enough AWAC aircraft to monitor it ? 
Have we even enough personnel to crew it ?

Or is it just an empty gesture ?
