Stavross 18,944 Posted Thursday at 19:27 Report Share Posted Thursday at 19:27 I must be getting old and grumpy because I hate all of it, Halloween, Christmas, new year, bonfire night, even Easter I did used to love bommy night when I was a kid, chucking air bombs in the Chinese, firing rockets over the wall at HMP Holme House and making the biggest fire we could on the back field, I remember one year a lad cut down a telegraph pole for something to build a fire around, this was a time before mobiles

Second pic down.....is mchull white death

Never really a big thing Halloween from what I remember as a kid and never remember seeing pumpkins like you do now it was hollowed out turnips for us. bommy night was the big thing as kids for us collecting wood weeks before then guarding the bonfire as gangs of other kids us included would set fire to other gangs bommys before the 5th of November.

waltjnr 8,263 Posted yesterday at 10:22 Report Share Posted yesterday at 10:22 (edited) If you want horror just look at an innocent dog walker being stabbed to death, want loud bangs ,move to a war zone ,put more effort into supporting remembrance day ,not soppy pumpkins, scream masks ect Edited yesterday at 10:22 by waltjnr

eastcoast 4,667
My great nephew. His mam is very creative and produces most of his costumes for various events from scratch with a few raw materials costing a couple of £'s or re-purposing existing old clothes. That's how young families should do things IMO. And yes, he is Newcastle supporter, I got in early with this one after losing his older brother to Liverpool! 2 1
eastcoast 4,667
From last year. He is also carrying on the family tradition of Irish dancing. I flatly refused to do it but my sisters and cousins did it. Sorry for going off topic but I'm very proud of my family and how the young kids are being brought up 1 1
