Hopefully tomorrow will put something Infront of the dog. An I've been told this area. The hares are fighting fit. Once took a lad to this area. He said run better than some areas on the fens. He couldn't roll one over

Some area off this land has cover in bottom corners of the blocks where hares sit tight in. I've flushed a few out over the years with the Russell. A don't get what you mean. Many that have been run before , like the ones your dogs missed wise up to that open land in the day time and find cover till later on in the day.
