If I was into matching then yes I’d want quick kills but real good hares don’t get killed quick by any dog, going out on my own I’d want to see a war because I love watching a dog coursing it sends me into a different world where nothing else matters so the longer it went on the better, hate seeing a hare get killed in under 30 seconds it spoils my fun lol

In Scotland you need a mouth and gears . But need to hang in there if needed . How many dogs have you seen that made most runs into wars . Good dogs put average hares away fast , put good hares away in minutes.  Very very few real uns out there that go over 4 minutes . Jmo . I'm no fen expert in fairness

4 minutes is a long time, i dont know if i would be proud i got a dog that could run a hare for that long or disapointed it took that long to put it to bed. But i aint ever been a out and out dsy walker
