Construction site cocaine Monday comedowns

Terrible to see decent lads bang on the self destruct button with drink and drugs all too just try and escape their own head. Look at someone like Shane McGowan could just never beat his demons such a talent and ended up a wreck at 30

Shane lived the rock'n'roll lifestyle and wrote some songs that will be remembered, and had a canny innings all things considered. Working class lads are lost. They walk around site as though they have shit themselves or have a muscular injury, that's the hard man walk. Dare you to make eye contact, and when you do, they crawl into a shell and have no idea how to hold a conversation with someone who is not intimidated by them. Then go home to a lazy fat lass who.

Iv been in construction 45 years and never seen so many Monday Mongs on site as in the last couple of years what a f***ing waste of money

One of the reasons I've let all my tickets go...every site you go on... your constantly carrying lazy cnuts...if it's not the boys on the ground,it's the slimy office lot too...try and hang you out to

It’s like this mate, if your 30 to 40 and stood round in a pub making regular trips to the bog with a load of other gonks that look just like you then it’s time to have a f***ing word with yourself !…

If going around in a wheelchair with no teeth and hardly able to speak at 50 is a canny innings I can’t imagine the years have been kind to you bud 🤣🤣

I have just spent all day in the company of people in wheel chairs who have no teeth. Jesus Christ, I need a drink and a listen to good music to recover for next time 🙂

was going to edit re old people still having teeth but chose not to. It's not their fault.

I've worked on coke heavy sites, it's no fun , mood swings , their own mates selling it to them, even seen guys crying on the job totally fecked , I've had to share digs with guys who spunk all their money on coke ask to borrow a few quid on Monday, it's a sad lonely existence. I've declined work where I know I'll be the one doing piss tests etc to cover the others. I'm guilty of having too many beers now and again but it doesn't compare to the wreckage of cocaine... thankfully the more extreme sites are behind me , although it's going on ,on most large sites , I try and avoid those ....

Like anything in life from a bottle of beer to a burger if you can’t take it or leave it then you should really cut them out. I’ve never taken cocaine but have been around it abit through one thing or another and I’ll say this. Over the years I’ve seen people chuck their lives away with drink or gambling or whatever and everyone one of them I just always had a feeling they were running from something and just wanted to hit the off button and I reckon this cocaine is the very same. During the 80s in Dublin there was concerned citizens groups set up to deal with the heroin epidemic that’s is still on going and with the help of the republican movement they were knocking dealers doors and moving them out. The government and Gardai jailed some of the leaders of the groups and shut them down and that taught me drug problems in an area are let happen to keep people in their place. I hope anyone who’s struggling gets the help they need and come out on the other side better and wiser men because their really is no future in it

Your [BANNED TEXT] no future in yet but it,s when the Drug Dealer,s want there money back of the young runners then the trouble starts .Iv,e seen alot of good young lives been lost because they hadant got the cash to get out and sadly ended there lives because they didnt want to get there family,s involved.

I’m driving mate , not even a thought regardless . Chings for f***ing Doylums monging there way through life with no responsibilities.

my brother who is a year older than me  is a absolute disaster of a wreck head , chinged up till 4 on a weds morning type as standard sketch . The epitome of what this thread was opened up on .

He lurches from one disaster of a life choice to another , I can barely spend more than ten mins in his company before trying to lay hands on him .

ironically a lot of my mates are bang into the sniff still but it’s aged them , they look haggard as f**k .

My misses knocked everything on the head when she reached early thirties, she the anomoly in her circle , no coke, no pils and  the very very rare occasion we get out we don’t even drink in the house . She isn’t an earth mother or outdoors type but she eats red or white meat 4 / 5 days a week and does Zumba classes .

the rest of her mates are on the charge and wine every weekend still . The comparison between them all appearance wise , for 45 , is genuinely laughable

Like has been said mate, we all know the possible when you enter that world. I'm sorry, it's just how it is.

To be honest , it’s a bit of a band aid as I’m meant to be away with work on the Sunday since this was planned.

current options are

plan a ) night out, hone by 2ish , theee at the latest . Both drinking. Survive in work for a day .

plan b ) day clubbing about half an hour away , home by midnight tops , her drinking , me off to work bright and fresh

plan c ) this is the most likely . Plan b escalates into inclusive of plan a , Sunday 6 am sees me and her , unable to stand the sight of each other , arguing about something i probably did and until then unaware of, in about 2014, as we wait on an uber in the rain at Middlesbrough train station. Late for work .
