He came up short when pitched against world class fighters like Pacquiao  and Mayweather. The defeats affected him badly. I remember him saying he felt people were laughing at him and that he had somehow betrayed his fans.

He blew up in weight and hit the white stuff.

Men's mental health is fragile and boxers are particularly prone to depression after a defeat or after retirement. Shame.
