We grew up on Quadraphenia mate and all my group of pals used it as a life reference, we quote it to each other to this day ! lol

I went and watched them perform it at Earls Court, Zac Starkey on drums and Billy Idol as the punk in “The Punk & The Godfather” song……one of the great evenings of my life.

Was at that Quadraphenia tour myself mate, but we travelled down to Brum for it. PJ Proby playing the rocker.

Dropped a baggie, lent out of an automatic Mercedes...and drove over his own head.....f***ing legend 🤣

Daltrey is the friend of a good pal of mine, by all accounts he was plodding away until recently I think earning a nice few quid doing his thing. His place is spot on, lovely historic gaff in Eas

When my wife got one of those Alexa thingys I added a "favourites" playlist to it. I was surprised to find after a couple of days of adding different tracks that they were all Classical.🤔 Once I'

Yeah absolute class...

I’m not talented or musical at all but after watching the Fleetwood Mac documentary my opinion is that Buckingham is a craftsman of his art……it was fascinating listening to him talk about small details in the studio, how he could sit and listen to a track and decide it needed a guitar sound here or a piano sound there for just the briefest second, letting you listen to the before & after and it  changes the whole song entirely….i could listen to people like that all day.

Talking of which, I’ve always been a big fan of drummers and Mick Fleetwood was one of my favourites, his drums in “Go your own way” are one of my favourites…..amongst my myriad favourites !

Yeah it's amazing to watch and listen to truly talented people eh mate.. as you know I pissed around in bands for quite a few years and even locally I was in awe of some of the people I played with, I wished I had their natural talent, mine was bravado and hard graft...some people just make it look easy..

Gordon light foot was decent too, but elvis defo the man, even pastor bob joyce is good

Elvis was great, but he didn't do his own stuff, I think that matters somewhat. But as far as voice and impact, it doesn't get any better.

His place is spot on, lovely historic gaff in East Sussex and is set up to keep him pottering about at something all the time….obviously he has a couple of blokes who work for him so it’s tidy.

I had a drive round his farm and trout lake and then upto the house, got given the tour…it’s exactly what your boy off the plot made good but who ain’t flash would have….old England, classy.

I fished there a few times. One day  l was fluff chucking as per the rules of his trout lakes when a couple of lads appeared.  They both set up float rods baited with worms or  maggots and started hauling out a trout almost every cast.

Along came Roger Daltrey  in some little buggy thing who  WHO had a word in their ears .

He then came over to me,  apologised , and told me  one the lads was his son and that he'd  been told not to do" that sort of thing in front of the paying  punters."

To be honest l did like him for some reason.
