Who can forget this music great?

On the album that came out , he did a very kitsch cover of a song that means a lot to me . I was also extremely pleased to hear it in my favourite tv show ever and it’s been on my iTunes since.

when I was little there was an old fella who lived along the road from me who was the kindest man I’ve ever known.

They played this song at his funeral and to this day i still smile at it and like to listen to it now and again to remember a man who fought across North Africa and came home to build a life and give the kids in his town an identity and the belief they could do whatever they wanted to be . Men like Barr built this country . And they are forgotten.

Tony lives 5 minutes from me he's quite a normal pleasant family man....he's also the only one of the band who made any serious money.

Brian on the other hand has always been a bit of a mental case, been on the dole for years living in his mums or might even be his nans shitty little terraced house in Walthamstow without a pot to piss in bored out of his mind......dont take a rocket scientist does it mate.

That said i still say Brian had a lovely voice bless him
