Favourite singer/Band?

Who is your personal favourite? I don't have a particular fave but I love the 50's, 60's, 80's and dance.

Standouts for me are Elvis, The Beatles, The Stones, Bowie.

Once I'd realised this I started another one of non-classical. Mine is almost exclusively 70s and 80s.

All time favourites would be Madness, The Specials, Depeche Mode, Japan, Talk Talk, Blancmange...basically either 2Tone or New Wave.

Without a shadow of doubt, my all time favourite vocalist would be David Sylvian. I'm transported to another place when I hear his voice. Seen him live a few times and he was equally as good. My all time favourite single piece of music is the extended version of Forbidden Colours (the one with the beautiful piano introduction). Even better than Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Satie, Debussey, Mozart etc.
