gnipper 6,751
I don't think smack was that bad round here when I was a kid but we all knew to stay well away from it and anyone who started on it and stuck to the stuff that didn't turn you into a granny robber. There's more around now though and crackheads.
tatsblisters 10,923
Remember the first time hearing about smack was when I worked at the pit in the early 80s though I was unaware of the serious addictive nature of the drug at the time until the morphine box down the pit was broken into and the morphine stolen a low act and if the culprits had been caught at the time they would have faced serious consequences from other miners never mind the law. Found out year's later it was a lad i knew and a dog man at that who got on the smack despite having a nice house and family. Heard some years back he ended up in rehab but had a relapse and was found dead in a field. I thought it was Karma for the old folks he had robbed and robbing the morphine box at the pit. Daniel cain 48,187
When I was growing up on my council estate,it was that many folks on the brown around my way ... that when they built a new shopping centre...not a week would go by, without them finding some addict overdosed in the toilets couldn't kick a football over a garden wall, without finding dirty needles laying about...was that bad people was hitting up broad daylight, ribbing family and friends...seen it eat away at men I used to look upto...went from having it all, earning big money, all the clothes, flash motors, gold, best looking bird in the town on their arm....too literally bags of bone..it stripped them of any morals they may of had and makes you stoop as low as you can go...loads started off just selling it....didn't realise how f***ing nasty the shit really was...then hooked to f**k themselves... The worst type of drug dealers imo, are the ones who peddle a product, and spread misery, without using it themselves...some may say that's smart...too me they are the biggest f***ing Rats....and folks I would never give the time of day too... Funny there's a prick who's responsible for flooding Wales with the shit, real nasty piece of work, big old roid head in his day, very well known in drug circles, had alot of clout ,come back on the scene around my way after years....karma has caught up with the cnut,he's riddled to the bone with cancer good enough for the prick,he's responsible for killing hundreds...showed his face ,and was battered by a young lad who lost his both parents to the shit he peddled...I love shit like that...

Unbelievable how ordinary people just lose all self respect when they are on that stuff.

I know alot won't agree with me but I believe rightly or wrongly that the heroine epidemic in the 80s was exasperated by the breakdown in working class communities due to the policy's of the Thatcher government in massive job losses in traditional industries in the 80s.

I see the cnuts like DC mentioned as responsible. Not politics or politicians. The Joe's and Turks were shipping it in and the shitcunts like DC mentioned were selling it to their own to make a pound note.

Fantastic book and film, as anti smack as you can get. Yet so correct about the direction we the union and world were heading in! Fun fact; when it played in the Yank cinemas, they had to have subtitles in English
