That is true, but once there it's hard to get started and many folk are stuck as it's easier to just stay in the status quo as such without outside help and who helps street living junkies apart from a

Been there and it's shit, shit like beyond wanting to wake up tomorrow but knowing you can't die because then your kids will always have a down and out junkie dad and your parent will have to bury you

I shudder to think of how many folk were prescribed a drug so it can help them only for that drug to ruin a life instead of helping it, but well done on hanging it out and sorting it as it's so much e

Wasn’t the 60’s huge for drug culture ?

LSD and other hallucinogenics ?

It’s nothing new, there was “The Great Binge” of the late 1800’s to just before the First World War; everyone off their heads on opium, even Queen Victoria was hooked on laudanum .

Cheers.

Not homeless but thought I’d share to show how far up there own arses some charity’s are, they say they can’t let the family have the money they raised, cos it was raised for a specific child, that child is now dead, so the charity will keep the money, surely it should go back to the donators if it was only donated for a specific case, but I’m betting they keep it, what a joke, hope they get to spend as much quality time they can with there daughter, I can’t imagine how hard that would be after losing the son, hopefully they start a go fund me

That's truly shocking Don😔 God bless that little girl and her family 🙏No one should lose a child,it's not something you ever get over, let alone another child....life is so cruel at times😞but it doesn't surprise me, that even charities are Low enough to be making money out of peoples misery ....the  people who run them don't do it out of the kindness of their hearts ,I know...humans are the most selfish creatures on this planet.,taking pleasure in someone else's pain etc..some right horrible cnuts living on it..

Literally everyone knew mate, I’m not having it that people in the late 80s and in the 90s didn’t know what a lethal thing skag was…..lethal not just because you may OD, but lethal in as much as it dragged lives into literal hell……everyone knew that by then.

Exactly mate.Starting in the late 80s I smashed the life out of just about every drug going.Started off with whizz and acid/ mushrooms then E's every weekend then the Charlie came along and we got stuck right into that for a good few years as well as the E's.Even had a good few sessions on the rocks. But never once thought Yeah that brown looks a good laugh,Everyone looks like they're having such fun on it.Like Gnash said right from Seeing Zammo on Grange Hill when I was about 7 or 8 I knew that weren't to be messed with and that's coming from someone who just said yes to everything the first time it was offered.I don't believe anyone took brown not knowing what it was.I think people just thought that they were stronger and it wouldn't get hold of them.

Heroin mate

Yes the next post pointed it out. During my lifetime from my childhood I think it was well known heroin wasn't a social drug it was the end game,  I say majority of crime /burglary was heroin users looking for next fix , remember when people used to steal alloys, car radios , TVs , VHS , etc the arse fell out of it and prices dropped on electricals, then methadone came on the scene....
