One of the UKs finest dog men who did a lot for the game over the many many years he lived and breathed it. My condolences go out for his lovely wife Rose who was his constant companion and confident. See you over the bridge with a couple of pugs and a running dog my old friend. RIP. Wow. I hadn't met up with Phil face to face but spoke a lot on here and he was one of the few that advised me before I picked my pippa. I was a total novice (and still am) yet he was happy to offer his time and advice. Wasn't too far from me so always thought we would meet up at some point, but sadly not now. Don't come in this section a lot. A big loss to this forum and obviously a significantly bigger loss to his family and those that knew him. Quote Link to post

cantona 310 Posted Wednesday at 16:30 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 16:30 Even though i met him only a couple of times he was a big connection to my past with lurches from nearly 40 years ago,did he die unexpectedly or had he been ill for a while, he had said he would have one more pup not so long ago ? toolebox 1,622
I now only come on site every few weeks ,and when I read the heading I at first thought some bugger is messing about but sadly this isn't the case. Even from half way around the other side of the world Phil's words carried value & I'm really gutted to hear of his passing ,his kind wont be seen again , the running dog world is now poorer for his passing RIP Phil. He will be remembered. 7 Quote Link to post
