A pre season kick about means nothing to me; if it gives you unbridled pleasure , good, but Newcastle will be playing in the worlds greatest league , the Premier, while Celtic will be playing in a backwater league where only they and Rangers would only be able to survive in the EFL Championship or the First Division.

Im assuming that Celtic have qualified for The Champions League ?

Perhaps Newcastle and Celtic may meet, that game will count, not a pre-season kick about.

Yes, I think Celtic and Rangers would be Championship level. AT THE MOMENT.

I also think they wouldn’t take long to get up to the Premier, certainly not ten years.

It’s all about money, mate. Celtic aren’t bringing in the money playing in Scotland, if they were in the Premier the money would go up exponentially. 
It seems like £100,000,000 is becoming the norm for elite players, £60/70 million for average players.

Celtic simply can’t compete with that while playing in the Scottish League.

A sad state of affairs, but that’s the way football is now.

Agree totally.  Money ruins everything.  Coursing included.  10 years and the mighty Glasgow celtic would be champions.  But i suppose smaller clubs like your own wouldn't act like turkeys voting for Xmas.  As you say . It's a sad state of affairs
