My late son was part of a shark survey team in the Red Sea;   He spent a lot of time swimming amongst them and tagging them. Cheers

He was the spit of you charts , what an experience to have had...

I saw the pics of you swimming with the goldfish.

We were out a few times a week mush, saw a turtle once,a few whales,a number of sunfish, dolphins and suchlike, enjoyed that summer.

I don't know where they breed, the first time I actually saw one I knew exactly what it was though, very distinctive.

I missed a chance to see whales (not sure which species) a few years back.

The turtles were nesting a few miles down the coast (tarragona) just after lockdown. We went and volunteered to guard the nests as they hatched. Funny little fuuckers.

Where did you hold the larvae? Was it here in Spain?

I've always been fascinated by sharks, the proper ones, the ones that will eat you. Get pissed off with the people who make carefully orchestrated documentaries when they swim with Great Whites or Tiger's trying to give them good PR and portray as just misunderstood and harmless. 100% agree we should not be killing them, but they regard us as prey and eat us. Cool things.

There was a scientific study on shark predation on humans, and they came to the conclusion that sharks almost always only attack us when we're wet!

you get them off the coast of Wales occasionally

Remember finding one as a kid washed up on the beach at the south landing at Flamborough nr Bridlington and always thought there habitat was tropical waters unless it was a sub species of the sun fish that's in our waters.

That's why they stay away from me, my confidence unnerves them.
