Yes mate the old dog men used the put me in back of a morris minor van with an assortment of different dog breeds travel north for the day a very good upbringing I think

Wouldn’t say I was a hero but I did go around the old folks around me rapping doors and handing out free meat  

Used to crack me up as every time they’d say “ooo I can’t pay you” lol People used to have pride and didn’t want to just seem like they were taking a hand out, they was just broke.

I used a help an old lass at top of our road carry her shopping down home off bus. Many people around area would say he's a little b*****d him. An she was the first to fire at them. Any bad word said about me. All the older generation did. Pmsl. A was a c**t to c**ts that were all for themselves. Look what I've got type of people. A used to think not for long
