You’ll know that running hares up here around the borders on the fells and uplands is a completely different game to running on the fens and flatlands. Running the white hares on the frozen heather and scree is different again ! It’s great to get about and try different scenarios, I have a wry smile when people say their hares/rabbits/deer are the best. Cheers 3 Quote Link to post

I was 13 when I got my first whippet and listening to the old timers was where I got my grounding in running dogs. Im a great believer in some of the old sayings; ”Sometimes it’s best to stay silent and appear ignorant , than to speak and remove all doubt”; ”A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing”; There’s lads on here that have been kind enough to invite me onto their permission, and they will tell you the first thing I say is “if there’s something I’m doing wrong , tell me, if there’s something I should be doing, tell me”. Im never to old to learn ! Cheers. 7 Quote Link to post
