Well why not, get potential hound from USA ,it be cheaper to get in, and these hounds been bred to kill notes 40lb, run long distances   so great strength. Stamina,  strong jaw, they deff take all our quarry here in UK. Dan who was on here had real tough hounds most deerhound x greyhound and poss years back apbt in there genes last time spoke to him  the line breed true. And cull  to keep it that way.but as charts says there some good deerhound x greyhound x pits, they was bloke bred this type in blackcountry

Why not just get a well bred bull cross mate though from over here or from Ireland?

There are running dogs for every speciality brilliant at their specialty's already in the UK. I would see little point importing any running dog into the UK

Imo the UK has the best running dogs and terriers in the world, just like the yanks have the best pits and we have the best working dogs in the kelpie and maybe ACD's.
