Love hearing stories of you older chaps when you would take the neighbourhood strays out hunting

We all used to do that in the 70's, mate.

We had some cracking fun/sport messing about with the local mongrels of all sorts, traipsing about anywhere we could get away with.

Great times.

I also think that the powerful lamps that came out in the 80s like the Qbeam sealed unit made lamping hare's up a lot easier than the smaller lamps that were about. I look back now and think it was a shame to lamp such a creature as the brown hare and daytime on it's own terms with a running dog behind it is the only fitting way this animal should meet it's end.

Nice carpet. No laminate wood flooring or neutral colours back then.

Maybe,  but it was brilliant at the time.

And, far more enjoyable than going out with a lamp and catching six or seven rabbits in half an hour, or whatever.  👍

Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

That's lino in the image tat mate. Looks like carpet. That's when quilty was quilty. My grandmother kicked off with local council. Because when they came and revamped the properties they changed her lino in the kitchen that she'd had down a good few years from 80s was like new. You know what the older generation were like for cleaning. No word of a lie not a mark on the f****r you could of eaten your dinner off it. A once drop a sweet as a kid & put it in the bin. Well that was it my grandmother was offended lol. Now she's got a cheap crappy lino down which marks up like f**k she's not happy. Wasn't so long ago she was asking me to change it for her.

This reminds me, I've still got all 8 Treasures of the morning plates wrapped up in paper, and I staunchly believe Black Neck is a closet connoisseur of Clarice Cliff
