Aussie Dogs

Recommended Posts

I’m on an Aussie hunting site, mainly to keep in touch with lads I’ve hunted with, but I also like to see the “dogs for sale” section.

This ad caught my eye;

I thought it might interest some of us on here.

I particularly like the look of the stag x greyhound, Rocky. A$800 is probably a bit less than £500, reasonable for a started dog, I think.

Cheers.

From what you can see & on breeding that Rocky is certainly the one I'd be interested in myself,be the one I'd take a punt on anyways,that Pincho looks like it would love to be in and amongst the hard stuff,looks a strapping dog he does.

I seen a staghound x hunt boar , only boar deer run straight passed him and he didn’t flinch , nice dog , was imported from aus

One thing I noticed about the dogs in Australia is that they are not only stock broken, but broken to native species such as wombats, kangaroos, etc.

I guess that they rely on the goodwill of the farmers and also the quite severe penalties for killing native species.

Cheers.
