No they believe in an almighty power but don't label it as god or the like

Lucifer, the Light-bearer ! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! It is he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual or selfish souls? Doubt it not!"

Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the ancient and Accepted Scottish [BANNED TEXT] of Freemasonry, p321

When the Mason learns that the key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mystery of his craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onwards and upwards he must prove his ability to properly apply (this) energy.”

Lost Keys of Freemasonry’ page 48, Manley P Hall 33rd degree.

It's also important to note that this view of Lucifer was shared by the Theosophic Society of which Pike was a student. Below is a link to Lucis Trust, the publishing company for the Theosophic Society titled The Esoteric Meaning of Lucifer. I'll copy and paste the article below and also provide a link..

The Esoteric Meaning of Lucifer

“There are comments on the World Wide Web claiming that the Lucis Trust was once called the Lucifer Trust. Such was never the case. However, for a brief period of two or three years in the early 1920’s, when Alice and Foster Bailey were beginning to publish the books published under her name, they named their fledgling publishing company “Lucifer Publishing Company”. By 1925 the name was changed to Lucis Publishing Company and has remained so ever since. Both “Lucifer” and “Lucis” come from the same word root, lucis being the Latin generative case meaning of light. The Baileys' reasons for choosing the original name are not known to us, but we can only surmise that they, like the great teacher H.P. Blavatsky, for whom they had enormous respect, sought to elicit a deeper understanding of the sacrifice made by Lucifer. Alice and Foster Bailey were serious students and teachers of Theosophy, a spiritual tradition which views Lucifer as one of the solar Angels, those advanced Beings Who Theosophy says descended (thus “the fall”) from Venus to our planet eons ago to bring the principle of mind to what was then animal-man. In the theosophical perspective, the descent of these solar Angels was not a fall into sin or disgrace but rather an act of great sacrifice, as is suggested in the name “Lucifer” which means light-bearer

Quoting morals and dogma .....from a copy and paste.

You actually sat down and read it? It's like wading through mud.

If you look close enough you will find 'evidence' on the internet to prove anything you want.

Francine, do you believe all this ?

They are quoting Helena Blavatsky, who had nothing to do with Freemasonry, and had been proven as a fraud who plagiarised her writings from others.

It reads like they are compiling a mish-mash of exotica concerning Lucifer to prove some point.

As someone who studies the bible you must be aware that Lucifer was an archangel, the angel of light, who disobeyed God in respect of Adam, and was cast out of heaven to become what most theologians consider to be the devil, or Satan.

As far as I’m aware, Freemasons believe in the great creator, the architect of the universe. Surely that would not be Lucifer ?

Cheers.
