SF’s tonight. Would love to see Ando win it but I think Littler v van Veen final. The way the Dutch lad has played it maybe won’t be a shoe in for Luke the Nuke. He’s number three in the world now, I think, so it’s great to see some young blood like Littler and Van Veen up there, but I did have a bit of a hope that Anderson would have a bit of a last hurrah and make it to the final, but he was never going to beat Littler, the stats were against him . gnasher16 31,670 Posted January 5 Report Share Posted January 5 Watched an interview with Phil Taylor he quite surprised me as i always booked him a bit arrogant.....said even at his peak he wasnt as good as Littler.....reckons he'd of beat him the odd match but said Littler was a superior player to him......Taylor was describing how Littlers attitude is just different,not driven by money,just a quiet kid plays his computer games etc......he seems to think Littler will virtually perfect the game in years to come.....was interesting to listen to. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Yes he seems to have gears in the game no one else has, for his age hes some player, certain players take darts to next levels, bristow/wilson brought it from pubs to tv, taylor took it up another level, then mvg now littler, the sheer amount of 170 outs and the amount of 9 dart finishes these days has really got the crowds involved, the modern players lack the character of the 70s-80s but they are far superior scoring machines.
