Sure enough, he turned up, measured up and said he’d email me a quote the next day.

No email as of yet, and no answer to my calls and emails.

Called another Plummer , he said “you’re in luck , I’m in your area tomorrow so I’ll call in and give you a quote”.

Waited in all day, and he’s a no show !

If they don’t want the job, why not just say so ? If they are busy with more urgent jobs, why not give me the courtesy of a phone call or an email ?

Or, as the title of my thread, are they just c**ts ?

If it were a like for like swap I’d have done it myself, but the rad is an imperial size and no longer available. So to fit a metric size will certainly mean a modification to the pipe work. These days I’d rather leave that to a professional.

if it’s not to big a difference the new valves come with tails you cut to size mate 100mm or so to play with
