I remember a crank telling me there was 6 herd of muntjac at swallow marsh, this was about 20 year ago, the lad claims to get out on the beating line, and just goes for the big stuff with his lurchers, but I've never seen him do anything, or even seen any of his dogs, if muntjac were a herd species surely they'd all live together in a place as small as that, I had a drift around Norfolk a couple of year ago that's the only place I've seen any Muntjac, I'd like to go back down and stay for a good while, seemed an interesting place with a lot to see, but it was very warm inland even in may it was like north east heatwave weather

I once saw footage, or should that be hoofage? of a herd of fallow walking down a residential street eyeing up the rosebuds, must have been a program about the increase in deer populations

Well I was at a plant nursery talking 2 the old paraffin that owns it and a munty walked across the meadow at the back then he come out wi the 25 strong herd on um yarn ,reckon he'd bin at the homemade down the poly tunnel

What do you reckon he made of you, a bit of a paraffin, or just happy gassing about the flora and the fauna with the odd mention of beige cardigan etc?

Oh I expect he looked on me as a slightly eccentric townie with scant knowledge of cervine creatures and the breeding habits of dwarf French beans

She looked the librarian type a bit stiff but goes like a train once suitably oiled ,the was a veiled message for all dossers 2 get out wi the dogs on the venny somewhere in that chat
