YouTube.. and making money.

Recommended Posts

I was having lunch today and got chatting to a bloke,I could tell he has a few quid because of how he was dressed.i had work boots,DeWALT trousers and a jacket with a company logo across the back,I didn't exactly blend into the place. So I am chatting and the conversation got round to his family who are currently in Dubai, then I found out his daughter earned £85,000 on one of her first big youtube clips which was also on TikTok,I just checked one of her videos online 44 million views,i have seen the one that earned her the £85k,she is now a brand and she is only 12 years old,I chatted to the bloke for an hour, really nice bloke, fascinating family, rags to riches story, money makes money,he owns 80+ properties in London.

I thought it was obvious what mackem does...he's a consultant to various let's call them market gardeners

I ran a small bushcraft channel last year. Monetized after hitting YouTube’s thresholds, ads were pocket change at first, views matter most. Editing eats time, so I batch film and use presets to keep

Ain’t really got a clue how it all works a few people my kids included have suggested me setting up a utube channel with some of my bike builds I do show casing how I do things but to be honest I ant no camera man nor do I have a clue about editing I’m no technical wiz but if I did a channel it’d be raw footage it took them ages to get me to start a instagram account lol

Some big money on YouTube you can see why some of them start crying if YouTube demoneytisers the video or what ever you call it just because they butchered a duck or something. Think the hunting guys have tread carefully

I ran a small bushcraft channel last year. Monetized after hitting YouTube’s thresholds, ads were pocket change at first, views matter most. Editing eats time, so I batch film and use presets to keep a 10‑minute upload to about an hour’s edit. Comments and subs don’t pay directly, but they help push the videos. Free gear only started coming when clips hit 5–10k views, affiliate links often beat AdSense.

While it grew, I topped up by doing quick phone tasks on https://cashyeah.com/. Cashed out to PayPal and gift cards a few times, handy for software and fuel.

There’s definitely opportunity out there. The missus cousin was making 50K+ a year on TikTok a few years back when he was still in sixth form. f**k knows what he was an influencer in.

You can make decent money on youtube tbf I made couple hundred quid on a short, long content is the money maker but it's a lot of effort I don't get the views to give up my full time job🤣 tbf I just film my days ferreting and whack it up if I make enough money to fill the van up I'm happy
