jukel123 9,290
I'm disappointed at CP fraternising with the jerries. Don't you know there's a war on? Im glad you gave him newcie brown.. horrible stuff. I remember a clerk of works called Wolfgang ( nicknamed gangbang) many moons back. Germany had beaten us in an important game and he asked me how I had enjoyed the game. So I replied 'yeah , gloat all you want, but we won the war'. He got really upset, like I had deliberately farted in church. He avoided eye contact and conversation with me months. It was only a joke! I think the jerries have a policy of 'don't mention the war!' Edited October 26, 2023 by jukel123

Funny how things change; during the war the Germans and Japanese were the enemy and the Russians and Chinese were our friends……now the opposite is true. Im a live and let live man, I’ve seen good and bad in all races and creeds, a bit like lurchers I suppose. I don’t go in for stereotypes. Cheers.

Cheers. You could have educated him better. Always to be drank from an half schooner. Best avoided IMO, not that high in alcohol content but can turn a good man bad A strange drink. Remember working at S&N Brewery as a contractor and they had their own sort of AA department for the lads who worked there, kind of HR before its time.

You sound like me when I am pontificating. Lol. I don't hate the jerries any more. I remember reading All Quiet on the Western Front. There's a line " a word of command has made these people enemies. A word of command has made these people friends". I've probably mangled the quote. Wilf loves the book, if he reads this he is entitled to correct me. But you get the idea. We were in the Black Garter, mate, you're lucky to get a glass in there, let alone a half schooner ! LOL ! The Germans were amazed at how cheap the beer was, I told them they were in probably the cheapest bar in Newcastle, apart from "Peppers", that is, but I wouldn't send even a German there ! Cheers.
eastcoast 4,501
I am torn with this Tonali gambling thing and how it is being portrayed. I work with young men, or rather manage them. So many of them are f***ing clueless as to what real life is and making the transition from a child to a man. This superstar signing for Newcastle has a "gambling addiction" and the love is poring out for him. Some of my apprentices will latch on to that. No, he is a an immature stupid little c**t not a victim or a role model. Edited October 26, 2023 by eastcoast 1

WILF 49,724
Just forced myself to sit through Olympiakos v West Ham…….. Its the first full West Ham game I have watched since last season as I binned sky sports. Now, let me think of something level headed to say so that I don’t start any rows ?………it was……..pedestrian ! I know one swallow don’t make a summer but I genuinely didn’t see any improvement from how terrible we were last season……as in, none ! We started with what I’d guess you call a second string outfit so I thought fair enough, it was awful but these players are not necessarily first choice players…..with 30 minutes plus stoppage left and in deep shit we fired on all the first choice players, Antonio, Bowen, Paqueta, Alveres……absolutely no difference, still every bit as awful as we had been all game. Paqueta scores a belter at 87 minutes out of nowhere and we changed into a team who wants to play in the last 8 minutes of stoppage time…… I had been a bit “well, I haven’t watched and we may be a different team from last season” but we wasn’t….we were exactly the same. Our results have completely papered over how f***ing bad our brand of football is, it’s terrible ! Im not even getting out my pram and exaggerating in a rant, I’m totally calm….it’s everything Moyes has always been. I was perfectly willing to swallow and say I’d got Moyes completely wrong the other day, but I haven’t ! Olympiakos were everything you’d want your team to be, busy, hungry, brave, moving the ball well, shifting us from side to side and probing, making holes …..score was 2-1 to them and that flattered us, it could have been 4 or 5. I’m just watching Brighton going after the throat of Ajax…….enough said.
WILF 49,724
Olympiakos has this banner on display but we had the last laugh because we made them watch 98 minutes of Moyes football !…..who’s in hell now you kebab eating fuckers ! Lol

Who would you have instead of Moyes?
