Big fish often fall when the moon is full, keep the faith 👍

My boy very seldom misses a full moon even takes time off work when it’s around and he’s had some whackers in his time though on the other hand we have an easterly wind at the moment and wind in the east fish feed least so two conflicting powers of nature at work lol

Already looking forward to the warmer weather.

Did our yearly trip to the Fraser, was a brutal trip to be fair with it pissing down, cold and windy most of the 4 days we were there. Only had two small salmon and no sturgeon over the first 3 days,

While most anglers catch a small jack as their first pike, Dave Owen managed to catch the fish of a lifetime, in the shape of this monster croc.

What water did he take that from Dan.

Struggled with catching lives big enough to use and only had dace . Never had a touch on the ones that were usable but caught one roach and put that in and it went straight away but I pulled out of it . Cast it back out and it went again but managed to pull the barbless hooks on an at least mid double at the net . Went back out with the maggot feeder and the rod ripped round and snapped me off before I could pick the rod up . It was the only maggot feeder I had on me aswell

It was and I slipped on the mud when stepping over a log , luckily I managed not to break my rods when I landed .
It’s the ribble . It was half a metre up and coloured too .

Yep I have to be more aware these days the levels have a slippery step down to where you want to fish a lot of the time and sometimes a foot of bank before you'd be upto your neck in it. Lol, always aware if I can't work I'm knackered. Canal is easy on that front rivers are a different beast..
