Get a little rib and motor, and get out on the pike and perch mate😁👍

I’ve fished from a boat in the lake district for trout and also on Hanningfield res in Essex, but I wouldn’t be taking all my kit for a night session and my little lad on some of these inland seas mate…..not for one minute, scares the life out of me.

f**k, I remember lads drowning in Wraysbury and the lakes here make Wraysbury look like a village green duck pond.

26,000 acres is one big chunk of water and some of them are so big you get proper weather systems on there that can put you in trouble quick…..fine for lads confident enough to do it but not a bit of me.

A rib or big sib will keep you safe and there very novice user friendly, last time out on my boat i hit some waves head on that  1/4 filled the boat and made us head for shore for a bail out and dry out, those same waves i would have jumped over and gone back for another go in a rib of the same size as my boat..

Managed to land two today so not bad. Brought my youngest lad with me. Not ten minutes in. " He says we're not guna catch nowt. " Could have kicked him in the river. Lol. From 1 o'clock till 4 nothing. Soon as he chipped home with wife. Not 20 mins in. Caught my first one. He's f***ing bad luck that f****r honest. Then 10 minutes later second rod went to left. Haha. First one rocketed for the over hanging tree right on bankside. Ended up with the line in tree. Like you do I've ended up in river myself. Playing the fish rid tip under the water missing the tree branches under the water. Lucky because it's only about 2 1/2 to 3 foot deep. Ended up on the bank so was worth getting wet. 😂
